Presentation of the Centre
Henri Becquerel Centre, attached to the French Federation of Centres for the Fight Against Cancer - UNICANCER Group, is an establishment of private law, non-profit and of public utility and participates in the public hospital service. It receives public funding and is subject to the supervision of the Regional Health Agency (ARS).
It falls into the category of health establishments Private Collective Interest (ESPIC).
In Normandy, the Henri Becquerel Center and the University Hospital of Rouen form the regional reference center for cancer and formed together a Health Cooperation Group (SCG): The Regional Cancer Institute of Haute-Normandie (IRCHN).
Main Activities
Like all Centres for the Fight Against Cancer, the Henri Becquerel Center provides a threefold mission:
- Care: screening, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of cancer.
- Research: basic research, clinical research.
- Education: student training of medical and paramedical sectors.
