The GA of OECI will take place in Copenhagen June 15. The activities of the individual working groups will be presented and discussed. Focus for the working groups is the support of the various activities within the CCC.
The aim being to both assure quality infrastructures for care, research and education and to create harmonization for the facilitation of collaboration between CCCs. Presentations will cover education, clinical guidelines, accreditation, biopathology and biobanking (TuBaFrost) as well as new technologies within radiation therapy and imaging. On June 16 there will be a scientific meeting on translational research. Since CCCs are responsible for innovations in cancer care, integration with research is mandatory. Hopefully, this day will provide us with important information which will help us to avoid present harmful fragmentation of European cancer research.
