Presentation of the Centre
Formerly known as Institut Curie de L'Indochine (Curie Institute of Indochina, created in 1923), the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital (K hospital) is a leading specialized hospital in the country and the Indochina region. Our missions are:
- To meet the increasing demand for cancer prevention and treatment for the Vietnamese people.
- To become a leading and modernized hospital in the Southeast Asian region, excelling in early prevention, precise diagnosis, and personalized treatment in oncology.
With approximately 100 years of creation and 50 years of development, K hospital now boasts three campuses equipped with modern facilities and 2,400 inpatient beds, matching the standards of advanced countries in the region and the world.
Main Research Activities
Our strategy focuses on systematically strengthening cancer performance through three main areas: treatment, research, and training. To date, we have conducted over 60 clinical trials, focusing on common cancers, evaluating current treatments, and applying new interventions/techniques. We have also developed initial steps in some cutting-edge research trends, including:
- Biobanking
- New biomarkers, Oncogenetics
- Application of molecular biology in early diagnosis and treatment
- Targeted therapy, Immunotherapy, ADC, Cell therapy
- Phase I trials
