Presentation of the Centre
The EHS at LCC is a university hospital center specializing in comprehensive cancer care. Founded in 1990, our institution includes six key departments: Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiotherapy, Hematology, Hemobiology & Immunology Laboratory, and a Central Pharmacy. Additionally, we have established agreements with other institutions, such as CHU BLIDA. These partnerships enable us to provide a fully integrated approach to cancer care. Our center also houses an educational facility that offers undergraduate training in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy in collaboration with BLIDA 1 University. We also provide postgraduate training for specialists and those with degrees in medical sciences. Moreover, our institution is equipped with a clinical research laboratory focused on oncology, supported by a team of distinguished research professors.
Main Research Activities
With a team of over 36 full-time researchers, including 7 professors, we are committed to advancing medical research within our country. We have two dedicated research laboratories located on our premises and affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine: one specializing in oncology and the other in cytogenetics. Currently, we are actively conducting more than 26 ongoing Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials.

In collaboration with various hospitals, including the University Hospital’s Anatomical Pathology Department (IHC, PCR, NGS, etc.), our center stands as a leading institution for comprehensive cancer care.
Education
As a university hospital affiliated with BLIDA 1 University, our institution places a strong emphasis on education. We provide both theoretical and practical training for medicine, dental, and pharmacy students, as well as for residents in specialized fields. Throughout the academic year, students receive hands-on training in oncology, hematology, and surgery. Additionally, we offer continuing education programs for doctors from other hospitals, ensuring ongoing professional development in the medical community.
